District presents budget scenarios

On March 8, MPS Finance Director Linda Cline and the MCEA’s Mark Hackbarth, a middle school mathematics teacher, presented their collaborative work explaining the 2010-11 budget projections. This follow-up report from the April 12 Board of Education meeting describes different approaches to solving the financial issues described in March.
The Board of Education will hold two public hearings on these ideas at 6 p.m. on April 26 and May 10. They will also seek input through an online survey that will be available on the district web site for a three week period beginning on Monday, April 26.
